Puppies Must Stay With Their Mothers For 8 Weeks

The first minute of a dog’s life is the most important. It is necessary to establish a bond with their mothers and siblings for the proper development of the dog.

There is a stage called “learning by watching” that every puppy must experience. This process must be carried out properly; Because the puppy’s ability to develop properly and grow into a harmonious, happy dog depends on it.

Many charity and veterinary organizations recommend that puppies not be separated from their moms before they are at least 8 weeks old (56 days). The benefits of this can be summarized as follows;

1) Learns to live with others. A puppy that spends enough time with its mother and siblings won’t be afraid every time it sees another pet or person. He will be used to having others in his house and this will allow him to be a sociable, friendly dog.

2) Needs to gain weight. Nutrition in the first days of life is vital to a dog’s physical development. If puppies are separated from their moms too early, they may suffer from malnutrition which can lead to other diseases later on.

3) Learns to play. Being with his mother and siblings will also help him socialize. In other words, he will learn how to play, control his natural powers like claws and teeth and how to control his ‘weapons’.

4) Learns what love is. His mother will give him all the love and affection he can. As a result, your dog will turn into a dog full of love and affection.

If you see a puppy that barks at everything, doesn’t want to be with anyone (but only their owners) and is afraid of everything, it’s because it doesn’t have a learning process by watching correctly. Therefore, it is suggested that potential owners should also see the puppy with its mother. Also, efforts are being made to make this practice legal.
